This site was started to share my personal journey with improving my physical and mental well-being through life-style changes. These changes include physical activity, tracking biometrics, diet, and usage of vitamins, minerals, and other supplements. Please read my About page to learn more about the author of this site.

I am a male in my mid-life years, and wanted to encourage other men in their mid-life years to learn about ways to better take care of their health. Like many men, when I hit my 40's I was in full stride, trying to juggle a family, a career, and maintain all of my responsibilities. This is a time of life where health is often deemed less important, as we still feel like we are young, vital and can tackle any task easily. However, if we continue to ignore our health, our bodies are still aging, and slowly but surely, issues start to catch up to us. Mine started with minor body aches, and weight gain. In my 20's and early 30's, I was quite active, playing sports after work, riding my bicycle on the weekends, etc. When I got married in my 30's, those activities eventually stopped, and by my late 30's replaced by family activities that were less physically demanding. At the same time weight gain slowly started, followed by more aches and pains, getting sick more frequently, and more stress.
This may sound familiar to many of you, as it's a common life path of males in their 30's, 40's and 50's. The problem was I basically told myself, "I'm a man, I can deal with all this stuff. I still feel ok and don't need to change anything". Unfortunately, that's the wrong attitude. If you ignore what your body is telling you, the road you are walking is going to lead you to increasingly more severe health issues in your 50's and 60's.
On Mid-Life Male Biohacks, I will share the things I learned when I finally woke up and started taking better care of myself. I should have started in my 40's, but fortunately, even though I started in my early 50's, it wasn't too late. In the next blog I will share some "Men's Health 101" tips to get you started on a path to improve your overall health.
